Friday Thoughts.

It’s ok if…

…sometimes you sleep in the guest room to avoid having to put away the clean laundry that’s on your bed.

…you could eat pizza for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

…you really hate rain, but do enjoy using it as an excuse to be lazy on the couch.

…a ‘y’all’ sneaks in every now and then.

…you will never drive a minivan, but you would be happy with this as your mom car.

…you go to bed at 9:30pm, and sometimes getting up at 7:30am still seems hard.

…you have seen every episode of ‘The Hills’.

…you live ONE state away from California and haven’t been.

…you can’t please everybody 100% of the time.  {Must remember this.}

…you want to go back to Europe so bad you can hardly stand it!

Wedding Dress.

I found this site on Pinterest and I absolutely love everything on it, especially the dresses.  This one really caught my eye, and if I were getting married I would absolutely wear this on my wedding day.  I’ve never been a fan of the big, poofy white dress (for me) and I love how this one feels romantic, almost like a nightgown.  I’d accessorize with an awesome beaded belt, big chandelier earrings, throw my hair in a messy side-knot and voila!  Plus, then I’d have money left over for these or these.  What do you think?  Would you ever buy a non-traditional wedding dress?  xo

The weather was crappy on Saturday so I got the urge to be crafty.  I needed to change out my Easter centerpiece, so I started out at the thrift store.  I was originally on the hunt for Mason jars (thanks to Pinterest), but came out finding these cool bottles.  Next, I went to Hobby Lobby, which has quickly become one of my favorite places.  I was so happy when I moved that there was one right next to my Target, just like in Virginia!  I found these amazing peacock feathers that I thought would be the perfect compliment to the bottles.  All I did was spray on a couple coats of spray-paint and then trim the feathers down to fit in the bottles.  I’m so happy with how they look!

It’s ok if…

…you hope your children have blue eyes.

…lately just being low-key has been the most enjoyable kind of fun.

…you selfishly wish all your friends from the East coast lived on the West coast now.

…you prefer your coffee to taste more like candy than actual coffee.

…you change your nail polish every 2 days.

…you value a compliment from a female more than a male.

…you could listen to the Zac Brown Band for days and never get tired of it.

…you live in a place where plastic surgery seems to be the norm; and while nowhere near perfect, you wouldn’t change a thing.

…your idea of a perfect afternoon would consist of lying on the beach watching the waves and reading a book.

Apartment. Part 3: Guest Room.

As much as I have enjoyed living by myself the past couple of months,  having someone come stay with me just makes me so happy.  I knew when I had my own place I wanted to have an extra room so that my visitors could have their own space.  I used most of the furniture and decor I had in my old room, but got a new desk so I had a place to work on Fridays when I work from home (which I have yet to take advantage of).

Guest Room:

Comforter and Pillow Shams, TJMaxx, clearance aisle.

Flower Pillows, Lamps, Missoni for Target Black & White canisters, Target.

Josephine Desk, World Market.

Desk Chair, donation from hubby.  🙂

Mirror, Marshall’s.

I love neon so much right now.  Here are a few of my latest neon purchases!  Next up: neon skinny jeans (if I can find some that are not see-through and don’t cost a fortune)!

Striped top, Old Navy.

Hot Pink earrings, Forever21.

Yellow Pyramid earrings, little boutique in Salt Lake City.

Hot Pink sandals, Zappos.
