Candy Cane Cocoa

I  have been scouring the internet trying to find yummy (warm) holiday drinks to make.  I found this one and a mulled apple cider (coming soon!)  I love this cocoa recipe for its simplicity; and anything topped with Cool Whip is a winner in my book!

Candy Cane Cocoa:

4 cups milk

3-1 ounce squares of semi-sweet chocolate, crushed

4 peppermint candy canes, crushed

1 tub of Cool Whip

4 small candy canes

Heat milk until hot, but not boiling.  Whisk in chocolate and candy canes until melted and smooth.  Pour into mugs and top with a (large) scoop of Cool Whip.  Garnish with a candy cane stirring stick.
